Bridge is an iconic landmark in Kalutara

The bridge in Kalutara is an iconic landmark. It was 450ft long and is separated by a ridge in the middle of the river Kalu. Ceylonese records say that it was opened for road traffic in August 1877 along with a single line of rails in the middle. Currently, There are twin bridges for railway and one for the road traffic.
This is a perfect place to watch the sunset and on a clear morning, there is a good chance to get a glimpse of Adam's Peak mountain from this location
